I’ll never forget my first stay at Omni La Costa Resort. It was 2012, over the holidays. My brother’s house was packed with family, so I decided to book a nearby hotel and give everyone a little extra space. I had no idea I was about to check into a place that would feel like home. Staying solo during the holidays sounds lonely on paper, but not at La Costa. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like I was exactly where I was meant to be. There was hot cocoa waiting. The restaurant team made sure every bite felt like comfort. Someone even called my room just to ask how I was doing and if I needed anything. Every smile, every warm hello, it added up. That week, I learned that La Costa isn’t just a resort. It’s a feeling. It’s family. It’s the kind of place that finds you when you need it most, and stays with you long after check-out. I’ve since returned several times, and each visit has only deepened my love for this special place. From sun-soaked afternoons by the pool to quiet mornings on the grounds, every trip brings a new memory. Here are just a few photos from over the years that capture what La Costa means to me. Happy 60th, La Costa. Thank you for the joy, the peace, and the memories. Here’s to the next chapter! -@db_creative

Fondest memory are those silly pool day vibes! -tim_calimlin

Memories are something so special and sometimes really emotional, when I look at this photo of my husband and I, you would have no idea that we are going through tremendous troubles. The getaways that we have done at the Omni have been proof to both him and I that no matter what struggle or obstacle you are going through you have to take time for yourself and mental health. Seeing this memory reminds us of just that. We love coming here to helps us unwind and feel relaxed. We can't wait to make all kinds of memories here, thank you for having such a beautiful property and having great service every time!

My favorite memory is when we went to the water slides with my two young boys. They had never been on one and the look of pure joy that took place was incredible. This resort made us so happy and we had such an amazing vacation here. Thank you, bri -@waxesandlashes

For our family, there are few memories that don’t have La Costa woven into them. La Costa isn’t just a place; it’s been a part of our story for generations. My great-grandfather was one of the founding members, and I can still picture the excitement of racing down the stairs and through the lobby to see his name on the plaque before the renovations, all those years ago. That moment alone is a snapshot of the many memories tied to this special place. I remember skipping down the hallways to different restaurants—making a beeline for Pisces at the very end for my favorite Dover sole, savoring every bite. There was also the life-sized giraffe outside the gift shop, which I begged and begged to bring home, though I was always met with a "no." Instead, I’d walk away with something small—each trip leaving me with a new treasure and new memory. Easter brunches, Christmas festivities, and 4th of July parties—La Costa was the backdrop for family gatherings that will stay with me forever. As a kid, I recall being the only one in the pool, quietly enjoying the space before the waterslides and family-friendly vibe the resort has become today. And the stories—oh, the stories. I’ll never forget hearing about my great-grandfather’s hole-in-one at the same hole where he once drove his golf cart into the lake. That’s the kind of history La Costa holds: a tapestry of joy, laughter, and a bit of mischief. La Costa has been there for us through countless milestones, including birthdays I’ve celebrated here—most notably my 30th, where my mom took me out to that very same hole and gifted me a beautiful Rolex. Through it all, La Costa has been a sanctuary for us during fire evacuations, holiday celebrations, and everything in between. There were the moments of peace at "Denile" (the spa, of course), where I’d escape with my mom to unwind and recharge. I remember a time when every valet knew our names—shoutout to Eddie—and it felt like home from the moment we pulled in. La Costa was always there for us, through the highs and the lows, a constant in our family’s life for four generations. It’s not just a resort—it’s a place where memories were made, bonds were strengthened, and love was shared. La Costa has been a part of our family’s fabric for decades, and we hope it continues to be for generations to come. -@bubblesandbones

I have fond memories of enjoying the spa at La Costa and continuing going back. This picture was taken 15 years ago with the company of my mom. She passed away this year. We continued going once a year to either celebrate Christmas or our birthdays. We both enjoyed the beautiful spa and grounds of La Costa Omni. It will be hard to continue going back without her, but I will continue the tradition with her eternal soul of my mother beside me on my next visit to The Omni.

Omni La Costa isn’t just a resort to us—it’s become a place of family, healing, and home. It’s where we’ve made some of our most meaningful memories, grown closer together, and found joy in the everyday moments. I grew up in Encinitas and never even realized Omni was here—probably because I was too busy being a beach bum. But as I fell in love with my husband and we moved a little north to Carlsbad, we discovered the golf, the beauty, and the kindness that lives here. I always joke that my 16-year-old was basically raised at Omni—along with my 14, 9, and 7-year-olds. From Kidtopia and golf to the pools and summer fun, the staff has become like family. Fourth of July parties, comedy nights, and late evenings at the Garden Pool have given us memories we’ll never forget. We’re so grateful to be part of such an incredible and welcoming community. Thank you la costa for being a pivotal role in helping our family grow in golf, in life, and memories. -@KatherineElainePhotography

La Costa has been part of my heritage since before I was even born. My grandparents built a home in La Costa in the 70s and we still have the same house on the 3rd fairway. My grandma and grandpa had one of the first 1,000 memberships at La Costa and I grew up hearing many amazing stories of golf legends and celebrities who frequented the beautiful property. Today my sister and I keep the tradition alive by taking our boys for brunches at Vue and coffee dates with friends. We will always love returning to La Costa!

My family has been members for many years so when my husband and I were thinking of a place to get married, we couldn’t think of a better place than our second home! The staff, setting, food, environment and more was absolutely perfect even though our wedding day was during a freak heat wave! The day was 92 degrees! The wedding was so beautiful, we were even featured in Martha Stewart Weddings. La Costa will always be in our memories both past and present. -@tbmoss

BEST HOTEL EVER!!! Best decision was to get married at the Omni La Costa last year on 8/10/2024. We had about 200 crazy-loud family members that I’m not sure how the staff handled us, but they did it with the best customer service! We couldn’t have done it without the wonderful staff - from getting upgraded to the suite, to the rehearsal dinner to the wedding and then to the after-party at the pool on Sunday. Our wedding at the Omni La Costa was also featured on ESPN, Good Morning America, Jennifer Hudson Show, Today Show, People, and many other local TV stations. So incredibly grateful for this hotel and cannot wait to come back. Hope to come back one day!!🙏🏽 HAPPY 60th! -@aelegado

Spent a beautiful evening with my husband while grandma watched the little ones. A perfect night as I remembered the times I spent at the La Costa spa with my mom including my pre-wedding massage that I had always looked forward to. This place will always hold special memories for me. -@michelledianausa

This is the pool that my daughter learned to swim and my other daughter will learn to win in. From birthdays with Hazel (rain or shine) to bounce houses and petting zoos, we have some of our favorite family memories at La Costa. -@Ninz78

Have always had the best trips when staying at the Omni La Costa! Amazing staff, amenities, and food options! -@benfelz

It was 1974, I was 6 months old, and it might not have been a 'memory' at the time, being so young. Over the years though, it has been a fond memory for my family ( my parents Dawn and Jim, and my Aunt Judy) so much so that it became imbedded in my mind; that I almost feel like I can remember, through stories as well as the 'proof' of pictures. My family somehow acquired tickets to the Ross Martin Celebrity Tennis Tournament. So the story goes that my mom was holding me and as they walked through the crowd they heard a woman's voice "what a darling baby! Can I hold her?" When my mom turned, she realized it was Lucille Ball (also standing next to one of the Gabor sisters) My mom said that the second she handed me over ,the photographers swarmed. In the picture you can also see a hand holding my hand, and it was one of the Gabor Sisters (which has always been a "I can't remember which one" part of the story) The picture was in my baby book, and in Elementary school I remember taking it out and bringing it to school for show and tell. Of course the other 1st graders had no idea who Lucille was, but my teacher was very impressed. Then as I got older I remember watching reruns of I Love Lucy and daydreaming that she remembered me and one day would show up at my house, ha! Throughout my 20's it was definitely a great conversation piece. But it started turning into more than that. I walk by the photo still hangin on the wall and it just makes me feel happy. Happy for my parents and my Aunt that Lucille Ball saw something in my chubby scowling little baby face, and that moment made their day (and eventually mine) . I love to laugh, and I love to make others laugh. So sometimes I'll look at that picture sort of like a kinship, like maybe somehow she passed on to me some "good humor vibes." A photographer was kind enough to take down my parents information and send them a professional photo. I was featured in a local San Diego newspaper and my big claim to fame was the photo being featured in Rona Barretts Hollywood Gossip Magazine. I love listening to my parents and my aunt each tell their side of the story, and how theyremember that exact moment. Just regular folks who were able to attend a celebrity event, that turned into a very unexpected moment for all of us. Fast forward to the invention of Social Media, and I now get to post it every October 15th for National Lucille Ball Day. A terrific memory that has always been a highlight of the family. -@jenniferrobinw

Our girls (now 21 and 18) grew up at La Costa. Every time I step onto the property it brings back such wonderful memories of so many great times here for our family. Recently I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and the past 3 years have been so challenging. But every time I come to La Costa it makes me SO HAPPY! I tell everyone that my happy places are Paris, Disneyland, and La Costa!!! My husband and I would absolutely love a 2 night - stay as it would be such a nice reprieve from my recent diagnosis. Thank you for your consideration! :) -@jkohany

I cannot wait to come visit next week! My family have been members for 20+ years. I loved spending summers at the camp with my brother. Back when it was in the homes, on property. We would ride bikes and swim! I spent my childhood at La Costa. My 16th birthday party, prom photos, and hanging out with my friends. I still love coming back! I have some of my best memories at La costa. Living in GA now, it is my #1 recommendations when people tell me they are visiting San Diego 💚 -@laurenpineapple

My husband and I had our anniversary there few years ago, I would love to take him back there for our 14 years together!! Maybe it will be our new tradition!! -@holbanmadalina

Would love to golf there again!! One of my favorite locations for golf! ⛳️ -@ryanrcorbin

My parents had an amazing stay that they always shared with others about their love story. I cherish it since my Dad is no longer with us. -@takingitdaybyday70

Omni La Costa is a place my family goes to for relaxation and make memories. It is our favorite place. From the family friendly environment and experience, the shopping and the amazing food. The customer service is top notch! My son loves the pool, slides and enjoying the hot tub with a strawberry smoothie followed by an order of fries. It’s the same routine every visit. We love the Vue. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The braised short ribs and shrimp scampi are to die for. Once we arrive and park our car, we don’t leave until our vacation ends. We have made the best memories and are looking forward to our next trip! -@noellefelz

As a kid my grandpa would take me there to watch the professional golfers play The Tournament of Champions. Such great memories. Growing up we didn’t have too much money, so we never stayed there. I’ve always dreamt about playing those holes that Nicklaus, Trevino, and Tiger Woods made look so easy. Such a beautiful place. Fingers crossed! Thank you. -@vintagegolfwear

My wife and I have shared countless memorable stays at Omni La Costa over the years, whether celebrating anniversaries, indulging in much-needed spa days, or simply taking a break from the everyday. Though we live just down the road, this beautiful property has a way of reminding us how lucky we are to call this place home. We always know we can count on Omni La Costa for a truly relaxing escape and an experience that feels both luxurious and deeply personal. -@mikehenryjr

We live in La Costa so this is the hotel where we send all our friends and family. So many memories of the kiddos enjoying the water slides, pool, cabana, the fabulous restaurants and arcade. Priceless memories of laughter, long summer nights, and silly faces. -@jengyk

The Omni La Costa has always had a special place in my heart. My grandpa took his 5 grandkids ("Par's Pals") to a tennis tournament at the resort back in the early 2000s. All five of us played tennis while growing up so it was such a special event- we even had Serena Williams autograph something that we passed around once a year! Ten years ago, I was able to purchase my first home in the surrounding neighborhood and felt so lucky to be so close to the Omni. I now enjoy random evening walks around the property with one of my cousins. We love to admire the beautiful flowers and reminisce about our late grandpa and all the wonderful memories we have at the Omni! Congrats to the Omni on a wonderful past 6 decades!! -@Jstaplet922

My boyfriend and I took a weekend getaway here last year, extending one of his work trips. He's a golf lover and I love a spa, so it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the pools, great restaurants, sunshine... everything was beautiful. We loved it so much we promised to come back every year. A few weeks later I was reading one of my favorite books by Deepak Chopra and was surprised to learn that he founded the spa. It felt like such a serendipitous moment! -@mollyodonnell

I went there as a kid, with my parents probably in the late 1970s. We lived in Arizona, but had family in the La Costa area, so going here was a treat. Many years later, I took my new wife there on our honeymoon and we had the best time! The staff was so nice and our room was decorated and had chocolate-dipped strawberries and flowers in it. I still don't know to this day, who prepared that for us, but we cherish it! Also, the pool was sparkling clean and fun to swim in. Thank you! We have been married 37 years and absolutely love the Omni, and each other. We have four kids and 6 grandkids and it all started with you guys! (we conceived our first baby on our honeymoon, haha!) That photo is my wife Cathy and our daughters, on our 35th anniversary! -@jeffjjc63

I had a new boyfriend and we went there for a romantic weekend. I sort of "fudged" the truth and told him that I was a golfer, and he was THRILLED to finally have a girlfriend that loved what he loved. The problem is, I had NEVER golfed in my life. Leading up to this weekend, he talked nonstop about how I would LOVE the driving range, the golf course, etc. Well, Saturday morning came and he wanted to warm up on the driving range before our game.....and that's where the truth came tumbling out. I had NO idea how to golf. I tried to fake it but he saw the truth pretty quick! But he laughed about it, and was just as happy to teach me....which he did. Now we are married, and he STILL loves golf, and I will occasionally hit the driving range with him. But to say it all started at the La Costa Omni, now we are married with two little girls! Thank you for the memories! -@happyashleyc

Getting married at Omni La Costa was the best decision. When we stepped on the property we immediately knew this was where we wanted to get married. Our original wedding date was 6/6/20 which had to be rescheduled to 12/19/20 then again to 6/12/21, but we knew we had to keep it at Omni. Everything was perfect! -@Joelle_imison

Some of my most cherished childhood memories were made at Omni La Costa where three generations of my family would gather — bonded by sunshine, tradition, and togetherness. I remember being just tall enough to peer over my putter, tagging along on the golf course with my dad, brother snd grandpa. My swing was more enthusiasm than skill, but they never cared. We’d laugh through missed putts and slow carts, and I’d listen as they swapped stories, each hole a little time capsule of family lore. After golf, it was always ice cream and spa time with my grandma — chocolate cones, fuzzy robes, and quiet moments. I felt like the luckiest kid in the world. Omni La Costa wasn’t just a resort. It was where I learned the rhythm of my family: the slow pace of a tee time, the sweetness of dessert after effort, and the calm of being deeply cared for. Even now, when I return, I feel all those moments return with me. Omni La Costa will always remind me of family. -@Racheeljackson

I remember many perfect afternoons at the Omni La Costa Resort, the kind of days that feel like they exist outside of time, somewhere between warm sun and golden laughter. One day, my family and I had claimed our lounge chairs, with our sparkling water and colorful float toys waiting for us. Our kids immediately jumped into the crystalline blue water, squealing with excitement. My husband and I followed shortly after, taking a moment to delight in their joy. We created our own little world that day, half the time floating lazily, the other half racing down water slides, practicing synchronized jumps, and seeing who could make the biggest splash. In between, we’d gather at the edge of the pool to share bites of fresh fruit and laughter over silly jokes. I remember watching my husband lift our little ones onto his shoulders, building a double stack 2 kids high and thinking how these are the moments that truly matter. As the kids got older, sunsets became our favorite time at the resort. The late afternoon light softened everything, turning the water to liquid gold. Our teens, normally busy with screens, sat by the pool’s edge, dipping their feet and sharing stories, their usual reserve melting away. I felt a swell of gratitude; just being together, completely present, no distractions. The kids and I talked more than we ever did at home - discussing future dream trips, college plans and sharing past memories that led to contorted giggles and full-bellied laughs. This was a time with no concern about what others were thinking or doing and just having fun together. Once again, I was reminded of and thankful for what truly mattered. It was always fun to end the day with one of La Costa’s famous poolside treats, a giant frozen lemonade slushie! Enjoying this special treat poolside, while the sun is setting, the sky blushing pink and orange, and in that glow, our family always felt both infinite and tightly knit. Every time I think of the Omni La Costa now, I smell sunscreen and hear the echo of joyful splashes. I remember the small but shimmering moments shared; the splashes and games, the slushies and secrets, the unspoken closeness. Thanks for the memories and for bringing our family days of connection, warmth, and pure togetherness, under the California sun. Wishing you another 60 years of greatness ahead! With love, The Gray Family -@cindy_hanich_gray

Ten years ago, over Labor Day weekend, we took our daughter to the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad for her very first hotel stay. She was just six months old—tiny, curious, and cradled in our arms as we walked the beautiful grounds. We remember the feeling of stepping onto the resort’s lush property, not just as a couple, but as a new family. Everything felt magical—her first splash in the family pool, her eyes lighting up at the movement of the palm trees, the soft breeze that carried the sounds of summer across the property. That weekend remains one of our core memories as parents—a moment of joy, transition, and connection in a place filled with peace and comfort. La Costa gave us more than a vacation; it gave us the setting for one of our earliest and most cherished family milestones. Now, ten years later, the thought of returning feels like coming full circle. Our daughter is no longer a baby but a bright and spirited young girl. Revisiting La Costa would be more than a getaway—it would be a celebration of how far we’ve come and the memories we’ve carried with us ever since that unforgettable first stay. -@jennidgreat

I don’t have a favorite memory yet. But I would to create one there celebrating my honeymoon with my wife after our wedding . -@The_george13

Our family has been coming to Omni La Costa since 2016, making lifelong memories through birthdays, holidays, and especially the 4th of July. We've watched our kids grow up loving the pools, waterslides, and golf—and we've never had anything less than an amazing experience. This place is our family’s happy place, and we’ve already booked this year’s 4th of July trip. Winning this giveaway would make it even more special for a family that truly treasures every moment at Omni La Costa! - @wellness.with.virginia @vbolman19

My mom is my bestfriend and is the most selfless, amazing, super mom out there. For her 50th birthday our entire family came together and rented a cabana to celebrate her. (They live out of town so came to San Diego to visit me). My favorite memory was us going down the water slides and feeling like kids again! Then we got to walk the beautiful property and shop in the adorable shop! -@ashbaaby

At Omni La Costa Resort, summer days melt into laughter by the pool. I remember sipping frozen cocktails under a parade of white umbrellas, the scent of sunscreen blending with fresh orange slices. Sun-kissed and carefree, time slowed as I watched the sky deepen to the perfect shade of blue. Every clink of ice and splash was a promise: you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Here, worries dissolve as easily as the ice in your glass, and every sunbeam feels like a welcome back. The best memories aren’t planned, they’re made poolside at La Costa, one blissful moment at a time. -@chriskoerner_

My fondest memories at the Omni all include a beautiful sunset. Here’s one of my daughters soaking in all the beauty an Omni sunset has to offer! -@sam_d_kelley

Always love golfing a new course. I was treated to an amazing day to add to my bucketlist of golf courses. -@nanh3

I was in the gallery of the 1997 Mercedes Championship par 3 playoff hole where Tiger Woods almost had a hole in one to win the tournament. Tiger Woods was only 21 years old. It was one of Golf’s and La Costa Resort and Spas’s great moments! -@lesliecarlsbad

When I was young we lived in Carlsbad and I have so many years of memories of La Costa, starting the early 70's. One of my favorite memories is when I was 12 and attended a celebrity tennis tournament with my parents. I meet many of the celebrities that played, it was so special and exciting! Also in high school we volunteered at events held at La Costa to help raise money for our music dept. Even though I never had the pleasure of staying overnight there I still was lucky enough to enjoyed all that La Costa had to offer! -@suzikins17

This year was our 20th anniversary!!! So cheers to you on your 60th!!! Hope we see you soon!! -@evandd7

A Spa Day That Turned Into a Life Ritual. Sometimes the most meaningful traditions begin with burnout. A few years ago, after a season of nonstop deadlines, I booked a solo day at Omni La Costa’s Spa using the Lunch & Leisure package. I just needed one thing: to breathe. But what I found was more than rest, it was renewal. From the first step into the tranquil courtyard to soaking in the reflexology pathway and sipping a fruity Bellini by the spa pool, something shifted in me. I wasn’t just pampering myself, I was reconnecting with gratitude. I remember journaling in the garden lounge and realizing I hadn’t felt that present in months. Since then, La Costa has become a sanctuary I return to with my closest friends. When life gets heavy, we go. We laugh over salads at the café, melt into massages, and leave lighter, every time. To me, Omni La Costa is more than a resort. It’s where I remember who I am. Thank you for holding space for self-care, connection, and memories that keep giving. -@jelyseaponte

Since we moved back to this area in 2021, we eagerly awaited your reconstruction of your golf course for the NCAA golf finals. Two years in a row we have been blessed to watch our Florida Gators do well in your tournament - particularly the men’s team this year. Your staff and volunteers have been extremely friendly and helpful in pointing in the right direction, etc. - including your social media support in answering questions (quickly!). My youngest brother from TX made a visit this year specifically to watch the golf tournament! Your course and resort buildings and grounds are breathtaking! P.S. When we lived in La Costa in 1991, I would hop the fence at our condo’s complex and enjoy a jog on your beautiful course! -@johnpgarne

Every time we travel down to San Diego to support our son and the incredible Navy midshipmen we’ve come to know and care about, we make it a point to stay at La Costa. It’s become more than just a place to sleep—it’s our home away from home. Just a short drive from the base, it offers the peace and stillness that these hardworking cadets rarely get amidst their demanding schedules and rigorous training. There’s something healing about the environment here. The gentle breeze, the calming atmosphere, and the quiet corners for reflection and rest—it's exactly the kind of space these young men and women need to recharge, even if only for a moment. Watching them exhale, even briefly, in a place that feels safe and nurturing means the world to us. La Costa has given us a soft landing in a city that holds so much of our heart. Let me know if you'd like it more poetic or even more grounded. -@theshindyco

I have fond memories of enjoying a nice massage and relaxing at the spa all day. -@pattym09
